Hello!! I was brought to my attention that the pledge manager is charging a larger amount for the shipping than I intended. As such, I will be going through the pledges and checking each one for correctness. I will be issuing refunds where it is warranted.
I really appreciate the heads up and I look forward to hearing what you think of these books. For those that got the first two, I would love to hear your thoughts on them :) This will not only help me improve as a writer, but I would love a "Wall of Backer Thoughts" where I can post about your opinions on the book.

Smoke Test!!

Hello all!! I wanted to send this out because we just performed the "smoke test". This is where we send the surveys to a few of you (about 5% I believe) and it is used to test the survey to make sure everything is as it should be. Once this is done (usually a few days until everyone completes it), then we send the survey to everyone.
Here's one of the pages that I can share. My thing is, I would send the whole book here, but I want to save the surprises :)

I wanted to reach out for a few things. The first and foremost is that I have sent the orders in for the 3 prints, bookmarks, and 3 stickers. They should be here by June 15th I think they said.
I also wanted to share with you some new pages :) I really like them and even the black and white line art is awesome! I am considering a line art only version :) First is Page 24 and man is a lot going on here :) The cousins are trying to leave and find food, but something is keeping them here which they found out at 65MPH! A good chainsaw mauling in the morning :) And check out Ms. Kelly feeding her dogs the "scraps" at the bottom of the page!!
This next one is a little later in the story. Daddy Ray was waiting for the Tall Thin Man (that's what I call him internally) to come to the Farm. TTM insults Daddy Ray and a display of power is needed so Daddy Ray cuts his own throat just to show the power of his god.
Lastly is a nice double page shot of the Rednecks as they storm into town to take over the Town Hall!
I hope you enjoy those pages and I am excited to get this printed and out to you as soon as possible. Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at

You did it! You helped to bring this book to light :) I couldn't have done this without each and every one of you. There is a light and excitement that I owe to each of you :) I know that this book will live up to your expectations and I know that some of you will want to kick me in the face for some parts, but it is all for the story!! I really cannot wait for you to read it and let me know what you think.
In the meantime, I am going to order the stretch goals and get everything in stock, then I will order the books, and then we will ship. The Pledge Manager is next and should be up by the end of next week or whenever they send the funds from Kickstarter. I might just do it early and, if you know me, that is the most likely scenario :) I best get back to work, so I will talk to you all later.
